1963 Jaguar MKII With Low Mileage
I was thrilled to acquire this 1963 Jaguar MK II 3.8 in 2009 from a seasoned collector. To get my hands on this gem, I had to buy his entire collection of newer Jaguars. I sold off the other cars. It was totally worth it! Here are some highlights:
- Matching numbers
- Repainted in the original color
- The entire interior, except for the carpet, windlace and headliner, has been expertly replaced
- My private technicians had very little to do to maintain this elegant beauty ready for me in 2009
- It’s been smooth sailing every year since.
Here are some of the updates and features:
- Gas shocks
- Transmission and overdrive were rebuilt in 2023 (by accident!)
- New radiator
- Stainless exhaust added before purchase
- Rack and pinion steering added before 2009
- Power steering
- The wool carpet has worn spots
- Head liner is very good
- Front interior door panels with map pocket were just completed being placed on new door boards
- Wind lace is being replaced
- New door gaskets are being installed after the windlace with a few other things (this will be done within 2 weeks)
- Tires are in good condition
- No body or frame rust
- Excellent undercoating reapplied from 2009
I’ve kept the mileage low with short trips and on occasion we drive to Ashville NCI have verged about 1,200 miles a year. I maintain this beauty year-round with short drives
